Epic Games sued by Cry Babies
The president of Silicon Knights, Dennis Dyack, seems to be completely loosing his mind. Remember when he couldn’t stop whining about how games shouldn’t be previewed anymore, after Too Human showed up to E3 with a bad playable level? He argued that the press was unfair, and he had to let his game be playable under pressure of the media. Then went on to talk about how Too Human would change gaming and the things they were doing in the game would revolutionize how people thought of FPS’s. He really loves his game, or just has an out of control ego.
Now Silicon Knights is suing Epic Games, claiming that the Unreal Engine 3 is inadequate. Even if there is something to this, people are finding it hard to take Dyack seriously after he come across as a very defensive child when people didn’t like his Too Human showing. So maybe Epic held back final code till after Gears had shipped, and maybe they refused to help Silicon Knights address problems they had with the code. But for now it just appears the game isn’t turning into the second coming of Mario as they envisioned, and need someone to blame. If one of the many other companies who have licensed the Unreal Engine 3 step up and join in on this lawsuit, then hey, there might be something to it. For now I call it jealousy and passing the buck. All the other big games using UE3 seem to be coming along fine. Mass Effect coming November, Bioshock in October, and many games like Rainbow Six:Vegas that have shipped and seem fine.

PS3::steak, Wii::lollipop, 360::bad cook

The man speaks.
Jack Tretton: “I think the PS3 is the Surf ‘n Turf, the PS2 is your favorite burger restaurant… [Wii] is a lollipop, and I’m too old for lollipops. And the [Xbox 360] I get sick from once in a while because the cook isn’t always reliable.”
You don’t know how badly i’d like that image right about now. Full interview once you click.
PSN keeps good company

What do i love most about the PS3? The PlayStation Network, baby! Way too many 16 year old wiggas messaging my androgynous user ID with hopes of me being a girl, but that’s tolerable. I’m talkin online gaming here. Next gen at its next-est.
Guess what? PS3’s getting online options for two high profile (full-time) exclusives: Tekken 6 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Tekken can eat shit with chopsticks, but i really wanted MGS4’s surefire grandness to extend far past its story since it’s the last one (he means it this time!) in the series. I got my wish. That’s two in a day, i’m feelin’ saucy.
Tekken will have a load of online features, with versus mode leading the pack. Guns of the Patriots (GotP) will have you screaming its name at high volumes and cumming like you never came before, because it’s fucking Metal Gear Solid 4; it’ll be pure magic. In layman’s terms, they haven’t revealed what the online portion will consist of, but you have the green light to your hopes up.
